For more than four decades, Theatre at Vis has given young people across the Kansas City area a place to belong, create, grow, and shine.
This year marks our 41st youth musical, and we are proud to present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music. As always, our goal is to offer a safe, welcoming, and high-quality theatre experience while keeping participation accessible for families.
This season also brings a unique financial challenge. Because renovations at Visitation mean we are unable to use our usual performance space, Theatre at Vis must rent space from St. Teresa’s Academy for this year’s production. That additional expense, combined with the rising costs of producing a professional-quality show, makes fundraising more important than ever.
Our 2026 production budget sets our fundraising goal at $20,000.
